“Amadudu women’s refuge was a lifeline for me and the kids. When I left my ex, I didn’t know what I was going to do or how to go about it. The staff at Amadudu were really friendly and helpful. They gave me lots of support with childcare so I could attend appointments. During the lockdown, Amadudu gave us toys, activity packs and food and toiletries to help with the cost of having 3 kids off school”

“I’m new at refuge and already I feel safe and at home. The women who work here are really friendly, and have helped me so much. It’s like having extra mums”.

When I first came to Amadudu I felt isolated with just me and the kids. We had come from a different city and didn’t know a soul. Staff at Amadudu helped me and the kids settle in really quickly and make new friends. Amadudu helped us to get a new house and motivated me to go back into education and still support me with any problems if I need them. Thank you Amadudu”.
