Amadudu staff Board, and service users, want to say a Big Thank you to the The National Lottery Community Fund for the grant awarded from their Community Organisations Cost of Living Fund in December 2022  to end of March 2023, which included retrospective funding for key areas of work.  The grant has enabled Amadudu to support families in need during  the cost of living crisis, and enabled improved capacity of staff to meet the demands on our services.  Funding has provided  Therapeutic wellbeing support for women and children, vital essential resources for new families at refuge and  family resettlement resources, including food vouchers to help with weekly food budgets.

The outcomes of the project have proved successful and satisfaction feedback from our service users has been phenomenal. One mother with 5 children commented “ It has been hard since leaving my family home with my 5 children, Amadudu have made us feel safe and  supported, the therapeutic wellbeing project has really helped with my anxiety and low moods, and my children are sleeping  better and having fun in the sessions, the food vouchers were a pleasant surprise, it is difficult trying to save and start preparing for a new home and  with the cost of food now, this has been so helpful, I am happy the Lottery people have given Amadudu this grant to help us all, it is very nice”.

Chair Beverley Williams said “ This grant has had such a positive impact on the families we support at such a  difficult time for them, we are very grateful that The National Lottery awarded the organisation this funding.
