Salary: £27,491 per annum

Hours of Work: 35 hours a week

Duration of Contract: 31 March 2025 (FIXED TERM CONTRACT) with potential

for further 2 years continuation)

Accountable to: Refuge Manager

Probationary period: 3 months from start date

You will be responsible for providing a quality family support service to women and children In temporary accommodation, including individual Case work, emotional and practical support. You will work between the main refuge site and 6 dispersed safe houses in the Merseyside region. Working as part of a small team you will be responsible to the Refuge Manager.

You will have a sound understanding of Domestic Abuse including the impact and challenges faced by women from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. The post-holder will be responsible for providing frontline services to women and those from who are experiencing domestic violence, are at risk of honour-based abuse and forced marriage. This will entail provision of practical and emotional support to ensure that women and their children are able to access and engage in Amadudu /other services.

You will support service users as they access the service through planned individual support plans through to resettlement into appropriate move on accommodation.

You will have excellent communication and be proficient in Information Technology including Word, Excel, power point, and email. You will be responsible for recording , and maintaining casework and key data using Amadudu systems working to Amadudu funding Key Performance requirements.

You will have experiencing of working with a range of services, required to ensure that women’s and children’s needs are appropriately met working closely with Amadudu Family support worker and staff key workers. You will have good working knowledge of safeguarding Adults and children, and be able to work to key policies of the Organisation including Confidentiality and GDPR Policies. A Full enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
